About Sofia
A Clinician Who Meets Patients Where They Are

Sofia Harshfield is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensed in the State of Tennessee. As an FNP-BC certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), she brings rigorous clinical training and a patient-centered approach to addiction medicine and primary care at Magnolia Ranch Recovery.

Sofia earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she focused on the Family Nurse Practitioner track. Her undergraduate foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduated Summa Cum Laude, and an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing graduated Magna Cum Laude — completed at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Wallace Community College respectively.

Prior to joining Magnolia Ranch Recovery, Sofia served as a Nurse Practitioner at a family practice in Huntsville, Alabama, providing comprehensive direct care for adult and geriatric patients. She managed caseloads averaging 30 to 35 patients daily, developed and implemented pain management protocols, created charting templates in Praxis EMR, and mentored new nurse practitioners and NP students.

Earlier in her career, Sofia served as a Registered Nurse at a hospital in Huntsville, Alabama, including time on the Medical Intensive Care Unit where she obtained additional certification in Acute and Critical Care Nursing. Her ICU experience included caring for patients experiencing drug and alcohol withdrawal, septic shock, ARDS, DKA, hepatic and renal failure, and multi-organ dysfunction syndrome.

At Magnolia Ranch Recovery, Sofia brings both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to every patient — meeting people where they are and building the kind of trust that makes healing possible.
