About Clint
Dedicated to Addiction Recovery

Clinton "Clint" Crawford is the Program Director at Magnolia Ranch Recovery and a Licensed Professional Counselor licensed in both Tennessee and Alabama, as well as a Certified Addiction Counselor. With extensive experience in direct practice and executive leadership across substance use disorder treatment, he brings both front-line therapeutic expertise and the operational knowledge of someone who has built and led programs across the Southeast.

Clint earned his Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and his MBA in Healthcare Management from American Intercontinental University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Liberty University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Psychology. His Tennessee LPC is active through December 2026, and his Alabama LPC is active through July 2027.

Clint is the co-creator — alongside Dale Phillips — of the REINS Model of Equine Therapy, an approach that targets the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction as well as trauma. He developed this model during his years at a treatment center in Mississippi, where he served as Clinical Therapist and Young Adult Program Director for persons ages 18 to 25. The program reported an 86% step-down rate among completers. The REINS Model has been presented at multiple national conferences, including the Mississippi Association of Addiction Professionals Conference and the Masters Addiction Medicine Conference in Augusta, Georgia. Clint was also featured on a PBS special — Hooked: The Opioid Crisis in Mississippi — and spoke at the University of Mississippi on confronting the opioid epidemic.

Clint has authored or co-authored six books on addiction — four authored and two co-authored — including The Prison with No Bars, Treating Addicts: What They Didn't Teach You in School, and a workbook addition to Roxanne Holt Crawford's Beautiful Scars of Hope.

Throughout his career, Clint has served in executive director roles at multiple treatment organizations across Tennessee and Mississippi, overseeing programs including residential, PHP, IOP, outpatient, MAT, and sober housing. He is trained in MANDT, ASAM documentation, crisis intervention, and both Low and High Ropes Therapy.
