Esra Ahmed is the Clinical Director at Magnolia Ranch Recovery and a Licensed Professional Counselor and Mental Health Service Provider licensed in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas. With extensive experience in behavioral health, addiction treatment, and clinical leadership, she brings a depth of expertise that spans direct therapy, program management, and executive oversight of behavioral health organizations.

Esra earned her Master of Science in Counseling and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology both from the University of Memphis. She is EMDR Certified (Level 1, since June 2010), Trauma Informed Care Trained (2014), CBT-Trauma Informed (2015), and DBT Trained (2016) — reflecting an ongoing commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed practice.

Esra has served in clinical director and CEO roles at multiple behavioral health organizations. Most notably, she served as both Clinical Director and CEO at a residential treatment facility in Southaven, Mississippi — a 66-bed dual diagnosis residential treatment facility for adults — where she was responsible for policy and procedure development, physician recruitment, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance with The Joint Commission and the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. She also served as Clinical Director at a psychiatric residential facility in Forrest City, Arkansas, overseeing a 48-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility for child and adolescent males, and as Clinical Director at a behavioral health facility in Olive Branch, Mississippi.

Earlier in her career, Esra served as an independent contractor providing individual, family, marital, and group counseling, a School-Based Program Director for an Arkansas-based organization, a Juvenile Sex Offender Program Director at a hospital in Mississippi, and a Children and Youth Therapist at a behavioral health network in New York. She has also served as a Military and Family Life Consultant, providing confidential support to soldiers and their families navigating deployment, reunions, and reintegration.

Esra is fluent in Urdu and Hindi with working knowledge of Arabic, and is a member of the American Counseling Association, ATSA, and the EMDR Association. She is a National Board Certified Counselor.
